Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans accordingly.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to professional standards and guidelines.
3. Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records of care provided.
4. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and implement effective care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
5. Provide patient education and support, involving patients and their families in the care planning process.
6. Perform various nursing procedures, including wound care, intravenous therapy, and catheterization, following best practices and infection control protocols.
7. Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, implementing measures to prevent accidents, falls, and infections.
8. Support patients in their activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
9. Respond to emergencies and effectively manage crisis situations, ensuring the appropriate interventions and escalation of care.
10. Stay updated on current evidence-based practices, professional guidelines, and healthcare policies, participating in continuous professional development activities.

Requirements:

1. Valid registration as a Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
2. Proven experience working as a Registered General Nurse in a hospital, clinic, or community setting.
3. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of general nursing practices, procedures, and protocols.
4. Excellent assessment and care planning abilities, with a patient-centered approach to care delivery.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
6. Ability to work efficiently and adaptably in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
7. Sound understanding of infection control measures and health and safety regulations.
8. Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
9. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies with confidence and efficiency.
10. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
