Key Responsibilities:
Below are the key responsibilities for each role within the plumbing team at Sultan Plumbing Services:
1. Plumber:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Work with various materials, including copper, PVC, and steel pipes, to install water systems, drainage systems, and gas systems.
- Diagnose plumbing issues, identify problems, and provide cost-effective solutions for repairs or replacements.
- Ensure that all plumbing installations comply with local building codes and regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure their optimal performance.
- Work closely with construction teams and other trades to coordinate plumbing work during construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all plumbing work is done efficiently and safely.
2. Pipe Fitter:
- Install and maintain piping systems used to carry liquids or gases, ensuring the proper alignment and support of pipes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine pipe system requirements.
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes to fit specific installation requirements using specialized tools.
- Install valves, faucets, and other plumbing components, ensuring their functionality and efficiency.
- Test piping systems for leaks and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure the proper integration of pipe systems within the building’s overall infrastructure.
3. Plumbing Supervisor:
- Supervise a team of plumbers, pipe fitters, and other plumbing personnel, ensuring that all work is completed according to project specifications.
- Assign tasks, manage schedules, and ensure that the plumbing team meets deadlines and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that plumbing work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and local codes.
- Provide training and guidance to junior plumbing staff, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Handle any issues that arise on-site, including troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve any issues related to plumbing work.
4. Plumbing Estimator:
- Estimate the cost of plumbing projects by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
- Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs to prepare detailed cost estimates for clients and project managers.
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for plumbing materials and services.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals for plumbing projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for and the estimates are accurate.
- Assess the scope of work and project timelines to ensure that estimates align with client expectations and project schedules.
- Monitor project costs during construction to ensure that they remain within budget, providing updates to management as needed.
5. Plumbing Foreman:
- Lead and manage a team of plumbers and apprentices, overseeing the day-to-day operations of plumbing projects.
- Ensure that plumbing work is carried out according to specifications, safety standards, and local building codes.
- Assign tasks to team members, monitor progress, and ensure that deadlines are met.

6. Project Manager:
- Manage plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of plumbing projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and take proactive measures to address any delays or issues that arise.
- Review contracts and change orders, ensuring that any modifications to the project scope are properly documented and communicated.
- Ensure that all plumbing work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders regarding project status and performance.
7. Plumbing Technician:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in various buildings.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems, identifying and addressing any issues before they become major problems.
- Install and repair fixtures such as faucets, water heaters, toilets, and pumps.
- Assist with troubleshooting plumbing problems, ensuring that the issue is diagnosed accurately and resolved quickly.
- Maintain records of completed work, including parts used, time spent, and any special instructions or considerations.
- Ensure that all plumbing work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and local regulations.
8. Gas Fitter:
- Install and maintain gas systems and appliances, including gas lines, heating systems, and water heaters.
- Perform gas leak detection, ensuring that systems are properly sealed and safe for use.
- Work with contractors and construction teams to install gas systems in new buildings and facilities.
- Troubleshoot gas system issues, providing timely solutions to restore functionality and safety.
- Ensure that all gas installations comply with safety regulations and local building codes.
- Educate clients on the safe use and maintenance of gas appliances and systems.
9. Maintenance Plumber:
- Perform routine plumbing maintenance for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Inspect and service plumbing systems, ensuring they are in good working condition and free of leaks or blockages.
- Respond to emergency plumbing calls, diagnosing issues and making repairs as necessary.
- Replace worn or damaged pipes, valves, and fittings to maintain the integrity of the plumbing system.
- Provide advice and recommendations to clients on how to maintain their plumbing systems and prevent future issues.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work completed and any parts replaced.
10. Plumbing Apprentice:
- Assist experienced plumbers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.

- Handle basic plumbing tasks, such as cleaning pipes, assisting with installations, and ensuring tools and materials are available on-site.

Qualifications and Skills:
