Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment, identifying potential issues and taking appropriate measures to address them.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or malfunctions in machinery, using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to determine the root cause of problems.
- Repair or replace faulty components or parts, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and calibration, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, adhering to relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operation of machinery.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and any additional recommendations or findings.
- Source and order spare parts or equipment as required, liaising with suppliers and maintaining inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on advancements in maintenance technologies and techniques, implementing relevant changes or improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders, offering expertise in maintenance matters.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Proven experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in machinery and equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance best practices, including preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in maintenance practices.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
- Valid driving license.
