Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment, identifying potential issues and taking appropriate measures to address them.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or malfunctions in machinery, using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to determine the root cause of problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components or parts, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and calibration, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, adhering to relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operation of machinery.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and any additional recommendations or findings.
  • Source and order spare parts or equipment as required, liaising with suppliers and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
  • Stay updated on advancements in maintenance technologies and techniques, implementing relevant changes or improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders, offering expertise in maintenance matters.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in machinery and equipment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance best practices, including preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in maintenance practices.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
  • Valid driving license.
