Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly management reports and financial statements, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets for various university units and projects.
- Financial Modeling: Develop financial models to assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives and investments.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze costs and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Financial Planning: Collaborate with departments to support long-term financial planning and funding strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to provide financial insights and advice, fostering a culture of financial accountability and transparency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CPA or CA are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
