Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping team, including room attendants, housekeeping aides, and laundry staff.
2. Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
3. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and compliance with brand standards.
4. Train and coach housekeeping team members on proper cleaning techniques, efficient workflows, and attention to detail.
5. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens, coordinating with the Housekeeping Manager to place orders as needed.
6. Collaborate with the Engineering department to ensure timely maintenance and repair of any housekeeping-related equipment or facilities.
7. Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, taking appropriate action to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction.
8. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
9. Maintain accurate records of room occupancy, maintenance requests, lost and found items, and other relevant reports.
10. Uphold and enforce safety and security protocols, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and adherence to fire and emergency procedures.
11. Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
12. Implement and promote environmentally friendly practices and initiatives within the housekeeping department.
13. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in housekeeping, incorporating innovative approaches and technologies when appropriate.
14. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in creating and maintaining departmental budgets and controlling costs.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or a similar role in a luxury hotel or upscale establishment is preferred.
2. Excellent knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, and industry best practices.
3. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure efficient workflows and high cleanliness standards.
5. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and their proper usage and handling.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and other departments.
7. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in using housekeeping management systems and computer software.
9. Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
10. Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
