Job Summary:

NHS Jobs is currently seeking dedicated and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Hotel Services Assistants. As a Hotel Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff within NHS facilities. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional hospitality services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in patient rooms, public areas, and staff areas.
  2. Clean and sanitize designated areas, including floors, surfaces, fixtures, and equipment.
  3. Make beds and change bed linens in patient rooms.
  4. Collect and dispose of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  5. Restock supplies, such as toiletries and towels, in patient rooms and public areas.
  6. Assist with the delivery of meals and beverages to patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dietary requirements.
  7. Handle and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues or needs for replacement.
  8. Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare setting.
  9. Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and events.
  10. Respond to patient and visitor requests or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role is preferred but not mandatory.
  2. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet cleaning schedules.
  3. Good verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
  4. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
  5. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  6. Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  7. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment or supplies.
  8. Eligibility to work in the UK.
