Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles and ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.
- Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring on-time deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries and interactions.
- Adhere to traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle for safety and functionality.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize delivery processes.
Qualifications:
- Valid UK driving license with HGV Class 2 entitlement.
- Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with traffic laws, road safety, and delivery regulations.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact positively with clients.
- Responsible and safety-conscious mindset.
- Ability to load and unload goods efficiently and securely.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
- Adaptability and the ability to handle changing delivery schedules.
