Job Summary:

SUPERMARCHE BOUCHER INC is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Grocery Clerks. As a Grocery Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our grocery department. Your responsibilities will include stocking shelves, organizing products, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment.

Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves and display areas with products, ensuring proper product placement and organization.
• Ensure products are accurately labeled and priced according to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of shelves, displays, and aisles, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
• Assist customers in locating products, providing information on product availability, and offering recommendations as needed.
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot and ensure they are available for customer use.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness, removing expired or damaged items from shelves.
• Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and verifying the accuracy of incoming shipments.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as required.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
