We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our Prezzo restaurant located in the UK. As the General Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant, delivering exceptional customer service, and maximizing profitability. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage and monitor all aspects of food and beverage service, quality control, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain inventory levels, control food costs, and ensure consistent food preparation and delivery.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of skilled restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality service and efficient operations.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and excellent customer service.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and motivate the team.
Customer Service and Satisfaction:
- Ensure that guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally, striving to resolve any issues to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate customer feedback, making necessary adjustments to improve service quality.
Financial Management:
- Manage and control expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies, to achieve financial targets and maintain profitability.
- Analyze sales reports, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, and review them regularly with senior management.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with all legal, health, and safety regulations, as well as licensing requirements.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new regulations, and best practices, and implement necessary changes accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a General Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial reports, control costs, and drive revenue growth.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
