Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
3. Transport materials to designated areas using forklifts or other appropriate equipment.
4. Stack and organize materials in an orderly manner to maximize storage space and ensure easy accessibility.
5. Inspect and maintain forklifts and other equipment regularly, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
6. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating the forklift and handling materials.
7. Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking and recording incoming and outgoing materials.
8. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
9. Follow instructions and work orders to fulfill material handling requirements efficiently.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the forklift and surrounding areas.

Requirements:

1. Valid forklift operator certification or license.
2. Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
3. Strong understanding of forklift operations and safety procedures.
4. Ability to operate various types of forklifts, such as counterbalance, reach, or pallet jacks.
5. Good physical condition, including the ability to lift heavy materials and work in different weather conditions.
6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
7. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
8. Basic computer skills for recording and tracking material inventory.
9. Willingness to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
10. Safety-conscious attitude with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
