Responsibilities:
- Personal Care:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with mobility and transferring as needed.
- Medication Management:
- Assist clients in taking their medications according to prescribed schedules.
- Ensure that medication records are accurately maintained.
- Companionship and Emotional Support:
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Meal Preparation:
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping:
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, including tidying up living spaces and laundry.
- Transportation:
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other outings as needed.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of daily care activities and any significant observations.
- Provide reports to the care coordinator as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a caregiver, personal support worker, or nursing assistant is preferred.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to assist with lifting and mobility tasks.
- Availability to work in Canada with work visa sponsorship.
