As an electrician at Mace Group, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various construction projects. Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and wiring specifications for installations.
- Install and connect wiring, conduits, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults, diagnose issues, and implement appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project teams to coordinate electrical installations and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, maintain a safe working environment, and report any potential hazards or incidents.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electricians or apprentices when required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably within the construction industry.
- Completion of an approved electrician apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualifications.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
- A valid electrical license or certification is highly desirable.
