Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and project specifications.
2. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams to determine the layout and configuration of electrical systems.
3. Install and connect wiring, conduit, switches, outlets, and fixtures, ensuring proper grounding and insulation.
4. Test electrical systems and components using testing devices to identify and resolve malfunctions, faults, or hazards.
5. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, making necessary repairs or replacements to restore functionality.
6. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure the efficient completion of electrical work.
7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, adhering to electrical safety standards and regulations.
8. Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and inspections.
9. Provide guidance and support to apprentices and junior electricians as needed.
10. Stay up to date with advancements in electrical technologies, codes, and regulations.

Requirements:

1. Valid Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent.
2. Minimum of [X] years of experience working as an Electrician in a construction or industrial setting.
3. Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
5. Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
6. Experience with installing and connecting various electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
7. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical issues and conducting repairs or replacements effectively.
8. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
9. Good communication skills to collaborate with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
10. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
