Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Plan, design, and develop electrical systems, components, and equipment for various projects, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert knowledge and insights in electrical engineering principles, circuits, and power distribution systems.
- Project Management: Participate in project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Testing and Analysis: Conduct testing, simulations, and analysis to evaluate the performance and efficiency of electrical systems and components.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into overall project designs.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues, malfunctions, and discrepancies in electrical systems and propose effective solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and project progress updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and propose innovative ideas to improve project efficiency and performance.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada.
- Experience: Previous experience in electrical engineering projects is preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong academic backgrounds will also be considered.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar tools.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Familiarity with power distribution, circuit analysis, and control systems.
- Experience with electrical testing equipment and simulation tools.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex electrical engineering challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to collective goals.
