Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles, such as vans or trucks, to transport goods, equipment, or clients to designated locations in London and surrounding areas.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transportation.
• Follow planned routes or use GPS navigation systems to reach destinations on time, considering traffic conditions and alternative routes if necessary.
• Assist with packing and unpacking items, ensuring their safe and organized transportation.
• Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally with clients and addressing their inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, delivery notes, and any required documentation.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or damages to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safety on the road.
• Assist with general porter duties, including setting up and dismantling equipment, moving furniture, and performing other physical tasks as required.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient coordination and completion of tasks.

Qualifications:

• A valid driving license for the appropriate vehicle category (e.g., van, truck) is required.
• Previous experience as a driver or porter is preferred.
• Good knowledge of London’s road network and traffic patterns.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle lifting, moving, and carrying heavy items.
