Role Overview:

As a Cyber Security Professional in the UK, your role is to protect digital assets, systems, and data across networks, infrastructures, and cloud-based environments. You’ll assess vulnerabilities, design defense protocols, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with global and UK-specific data protection standards such as GDPR.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur
Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments
Respond to and manage cyber incidents (real-time monitoring, mitigation, post-breach evaluation)
Implement firewalls, VPNs, encryption protocols, and endpoint protection
Develop and maintain incident response plans
Conduct penetration testing and ethical hacking
Stay current on the latest cyber threats, malware, and hacking techniques
Train teams and stakeholders on cyber awareness and phishing prevention
Work collaboratively with IT, DevOps, legal, and risk management teams
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
At least 2 years of experience in cyber security or information assurance roles
Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and data encryption
Experience with incident response and vulnerability management tools
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to relocate to the UK and secure Skilled Worker Visa
