Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering assistance and providing product information.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and card payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelves, displays, and checkout areas.
- Ensure products are properly stocked, including checking expiry dates and rotating stock as necessary.
- Assist with stock replenishment and deliveries, ensuring products are readily available to customers.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide guidance on product selection, usage, and promotions.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner, escalating as necessary.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of goods, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve store targets, including sales goals and customer service metrics.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a retail or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting and carrying stock.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to follow proper procedures.
