Job Overview

As a Concrete Paving Labourer, you will play a pivotal role in our construction projects, ensuring the efficient preparation, execution, and cleanup of paving sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires resilience, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

Material Handling and Site Preparation

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials (e.g., concrete, asphalt) to and from worksites .
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, and barricades to meet project specifications .
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction and ensure proper placement of materials .

Concrete and Asphalt Operations

• Mix, pour, and spread concrete and asphalt using industry-standard techniques .
• Operate and tend to machinery (e.g., mixers, tampers) to ensure smooth workflow .

Site Maintenance and Safety

• Clean and pile salvaged materials, remove rubble, and dispose of debris to maintain a hazard-free environment .
• Address chemical spills and contaminants promptly, following safety guidelines .
• Direct traffic near construction zones to ensure public and worker safety .

Team Collaboration

• Work alongside tradespersons, equipment operators, and medical examiners to achieve project milestones.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers to resolve onsite challenges.

Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience in construction or paving is an asset but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Education: No formal degree or diploma required .
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), work at heights, and perform repetitive tasks in demanding conditions .
• Language: Proficiency in English for clear communication and safety compliance .
• Visa Eligibility: Must meet Canadian LMIA requirements for temporary foreign workers

Work Environment

• Conditions: Outdoors in varying weather, including heat, dust, and noise. Tasks may involve confined spaces or hazardous materials .
