We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Clerk at our hotel in Canada. This position offers visa sponsorship opportunities for qualified candidates who are foreign nationals seeking to work in Canada. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a crucial role in ensuring their overall satisfaction during their stay.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon their arrival.
  2. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  3. Check guests in and out of the hotel using the computerized reservation system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Process guest payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  5. Assist guests with information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  6. Handle guest complaints or issues in a calm and efficient manner, escalating to the appropriate department if necessary.
  7. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, including the lobby and guest waiting areas.
  8. Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  9. Stay updated on hotel policies, procedures, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
  10. Handle reservations, including taking bookings over the phone, email, or online platforms.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information and hotel records.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and possess a valid work visa or have the ability to obtain visa sponsorship.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
  3. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism.
  4. Proficiency in using computerized reservation systems and other hotel software.
  5. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry, is an asset.
  8. Knowledge of additional languages, apart from English, is advantageous but not mandatory.
