Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Caregiver to provide child care services within a family setting. As a Child Care Live-in Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising and engaging with children, assisting with their daily activities, and supporting their emotional and physical development. Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and reliable care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that promotes children’s growth and development.
• Plan and organize age-appropriate activities, including playtime, educational exercises, and outings.
• Assist children with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Administer medication or assist with medical needs under parental guidance and supervision.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social and emotional development.
• Promote good behavior and discipline through positive reinforcement and age-appropriate guidance.
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress and needs.
• Collaborate with other caregivers or household staff to ensure a smooth and harmonious family environment.
• Perform light household duties related to child care, such as tidying up play areas and children’s rooms.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment for children.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in child care, either in a professional setting or within a family environment.
• Genuine love and passion for working with children and a strong desire to contribute to their well-being.
• Excellent understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to provide emotional support to children.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and other caregivers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain a structured routine for children.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Physical stamina to keep up with the energy and demands of caring for children.
• Valid first aid and CPR certification is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license is an asset.
