Job Summary:
Sodexo Ltd is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team. As a Chef Manager, you will oversee the culinary operations within our facilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals and exceptional dining experiences for our clients. You will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, staff supervision, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding food service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and food presentation to meet the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company policies.
- Lead and supervise a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure a motivated and efficient workforce.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary preferences and nutritional requirements of clients, while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Monitor food stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Conduct regular quality checks and taste tests to ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation and presentation.
- Foster a positive working environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of food safety documentation, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and allergen information.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, addressing their feedback and requests promptly and professionally.
- Stay up-to-date with culinary trends, industry best practices, and new techniques to enhance the dining experience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef Manager or similar role in a catering or hospitality environment.
- Culinary qualification or equivalent experience in food preparation and kitchen management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of kitchen staff.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Creative and innovative approach to menu planning and food presentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to cater to diverse needs.
