Job Summary:

SUPERMARCHE BOUCHER INC is seeking friendly and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Cashiers. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service by efficiently and accurately processing customer transactions. Your positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong communication skills will contribute to a pleasant and efficient shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Scan and process items accurately and efficiently using a cash register or POS system.
• Handle cash, credit card, and debit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Bag customer purchases carefully and efficiently, following proper bagging techniques.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide information on product prices, promotions, and store policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including the register and surrounding workstations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of customers and efficient store operations.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels at the checkout area and notifying supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Follow all cash handling and cash management procedures to maintain security and accuracy.
• Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials or age-restricted products.
• Participate in training programs and stay updated on product knowledge and promotions.

Requirements:

• Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
• Proficient in operating cash registers or POS systems.
• Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
