Responsibilities:

1. Meat Cutting and Preparation: Proficiently and accurately prepare a variety of cuts of meat according to customer specifications and industry standards.
2. Quality Control: Ensure the quality and freshness of all meat products by adhering to hygiene and safety regulations, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
3. Knife Skills: Demonstrate excellent knife skills to effectively trim, debone, and portion meats to maximize yield and minimize waste.
4. Inventory Management: Assist in managing meat inventory, including tracking stock levels, rotating products, and minimizing overages and shortages.
5. Customer Service: Interact with customers and provide expert advice on meat selection, cooking methods, and recipe recommendations.
6. Adherence to Regulations: Comply with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of equipment, tools, and machinery to maintain a safe working environment.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the meat processing team to ensure efficient workflow and achieve production targets.
8. Equipment Maintenance: Participate in the routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
9. Hygiene and Sanitation: Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas, including personal hygiene and proper handling of meat products.
10. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, new cutting techniques, and meat-related innovations to enhance your skills and contribute to process improvement.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Butcher, with expertise in meat cutting, preparation, and handling.
• Knife Skills: Exceptional knife skills and ability to efficiently and accurately cut, trim, and debone meats.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with various cuts of meat, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers effectively.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
