Job Summary:
As an Assistant Translation Project Manager, you will support the project management team in coordinating and overseeing translation and localization projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting with project planning, managing project timelines, coordinating with linguists and clients, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for languages and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in project planning, including assessing project requirements, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, translators, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives and expectations are met.
- Manage project timelines and deadlines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.
- Collaborate with translation teams, providing them with necessary project information and support.
- Perform quality checks on translations and deliverables to ensure accuracy and adherence to client requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project briefs, instructions, and client-specific guidelines.
- Assist in cost estimation and quotation preparation for client proposals and new projects.
- Support the project management team in maintaining client relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to translation and project management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in translation project management or a related role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
- Familiarity with translation and localization processes and terminology is desirable.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- A degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
