Key Responsibilities:
- Airworthiness Compliance: Ensure that the aircraft fleet meets all airworthiness and regulatory requirements established by aviation authorities (e.g., CASA).
- Maintenance Programs: Develop and oversee aircraft maintenance programs, including inspections, checks, and repairs.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation related to aircraft maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
- Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the point of contact with aviation authorities and regulatory bodies, facilitating audits and inspections.
- Safety Management: Contribute to the airline’s safety management system (SMS) and safety reporting processes.
- Aircraft Records: Manage aircraft maintenance records, including logbooks, work orders, and maintenance history.
- Modification Approvals: Review and approve aircraft modifications and repairs in compliance with airworthiness standards.
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance teams and engineers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and requirements in Australia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented and commitment to safety.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance and technical documentation.
