Responsibilities:

1. Livestock Care: Provide excellent care and attention to pigs, including feeding, monitoring their health, and ensuring their welfare.
2. Breeding Assistance: Assist in breeding programs, including artificial insemination and farrowing management.
3. Pig Husbandry: Carry out routine husbandry tasks, such as vaccinations, castrations, and record-keeping.
4. Health Monitoring: Monitor pig health closely, identifying signs of illness or distress, and reporting to the farm manager or veterinarian.
5. Feeding and Nutrition: Ensure proper feeding and nutrition plans are followed to optimize pig growth and performance.
6. Environmental Control: Maintain clean and hygienic living conditions for pigs, managing ventilation and temperature control.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment related to pig farming.
8. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

1. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
2. Experience: Prior experience in pig farming or working with livestock is advantageous but not required.
3. Work Visa: Work visas will be provided for qualified foreign candidates, allowing them to legally work in Scotland.
4. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
5. Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required in pig farming operations.
