Job Summary:
As a Retail Counter Clerk at McColl’s Retail Group, you will be the front-facing representative of the store, providing friendly and efficient service to customers. Your responsibilities will include handling transactions, managing the store counter, assisting customers with inquiries, and supporting store operations. This role requires an organized and customer-focused individual who can work effectively as part of a retail team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases and inquiries at the store counter.
- Handle customer transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Ensure the store counter is well-maintained, organized, and fully stocked with required items.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of products and promotions to provide helpful recommendations to customers.
- Answer customer questions and address their concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handle incoming and outgoing stock deliveries at the counter.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves and displays.
- Keep the store area clean, tidy, and presentable for customers.
- Follow store policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cashing up and balancing the till.

Qualifications and Requirements:
