Job Summary:

As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and supplies within our warehouse or store. Your attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and ability to manage inventory efficiently will play a vital role in supporting our operations. This role requires a proactive and responsible individual who can ensure that materials are handled and managed effectively.

Responsibilities:

  1. Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of incoming materials and supplies.
  2. Organize and maintain an efficient storage system for easy retrieval of materials.
  3. Properly label and categorize materials for easy identification and tracking.
  4. Issue materials as per requisitions and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
  5. Perform regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
  6. Coordinate with the procurement team to replenish stock and order materials as needed.
  7. Handle materials with care to prevent damage or loss during storage or transportation.
  8. Monitor and maintain minimum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  9. Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.
  10. Comply with safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  11. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate material distribution.
  12. Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete items for proper disposal or sale.
  13. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store or warehouse area.
  14. Handle any other storekeeping tasks or projects as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  2. Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role within a warehouse or store setting.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Proficiency in inventory management software and computer applications.
  5. Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
  6. Physical fitness to handle materials and perform lifting and carrying tasks.
  7. Effective communication skills in English (both spoken and written).
  8. Punctual, reliable, and able to work in shifts if required.
  9. UAE residency or work permit is required for local applicants; visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
