Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a well-organized kitchen environment.
  5. Health and Safety:
    • Comply with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
    • Train and instruct kitchen staff on proper food handling and safety procedures.
  6. Resident Interaction:
    • Interact with residents and consider their feedback to continually improve the dining experience.
    • Be responsive to individual dietary requests and food preferences.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Professional Cookery or equivalent culinary qualifications.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques and cuisines.
  • Creativity and the ability to develop innovative and appealing menus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively lead kitchen staff.
  • A passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals to residents.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
