Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and masons, in their day-to-day activities and projects.
- Transport and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling temporary structures, scaffolding, and other construction aids.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and senior workers while strictly adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Engage in physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, digging, and performing manual labor.
- Support the installation of construction components, such as drywall, flooring, and roofing materials.
- Assist with concrete pouring and finishing activities as required.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of construction machinery, tools, and work areas.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a construction helper or a related role is an asset but not mandatory.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced and demanding construction environment.
- Eagerness to learn from experienced tradespeople and grow professionally within the construction industry.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials is advantageous.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to follow instructions efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting project deadlines.
- Strong commitment to maintaining health and safety standards on the job site.
- Valid work permit or Canadian citizenship.
