Job Descriptions for Each Role

1. Fruit Picker

Duties: Picking strawberries, apples, blackberries, and raspberries in outdoor fields or polytunnels.
Pay: £10.90 – £12.50/hour (bonus per kilo for fast pickers)
Requirements: Good physical condition, ability to bend and walk long distances.

2. Vegetable Harvester

Duties: Cutting and collecting cabbages, cauliflowers, carrots, and broccoli.
Pay: £11.00/hour + overtime
Requirements: Ability to use knives safely, follow instructions, work outdoors in various weather.

3. Farm Labourer

Duties: Assisting with planting, weeding, fencing, feeding animals, lifting crates.
Pay: £11.40/hour + accommodation provided
Requirements: Strong and willing to do physical work for long hours.

4. Greenhouse Worker

Duties: Planting seeds, watering, pest control, temperature control in tomato and herb greenhouses.
Pay: £10.50 – £12.00/hour
Requirements: Indoor work experience is preferred, but not essential.

5. Tractor Driver

Duties: Driving tractors for ploughing, seeding, spraying, and harvesting support.
Pay: £13.00 – £15.50/hour
Requirements: Valid tractor or agricultural driving license; training provided.

6. Dairy Farm Assistant

Duties: Milking cows, feeding livestock, cleaning barns, maintaining hygiene standards.
Pay: £11.20/hour + daily meals
Requirements: Previous animal handling experience preferred, but training is provided.

7. Packing Staff

Duties: Sorting, weighing, labeling, and boxing fresh produce for supermarket shipment.
Pay: £10.90 – £11.80/hour
Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours in a cold packing house.

8. General Farm Cleaner

Duties: Keeping barns, workstations, and accommodations clean and tidy.
Pay: £10.50/hour
Requirements: Attention to detail and hygiene.

9. Farm Maintenance Worker

Duties: Repairing fences, maintaining equipment, minor plumbing/electrical work.
Pay: £12.00/hour
Requirements: Handy with tools and general farm mechanics.

10. Crop Sorter & Grader

Duties: Inspecting crops for size and quality, sorting damaged produce.
Pay: £10.90/hour + bonus
Requirements: Good eyesight and ability to focus on repetitive tasks.

Visa Sponsorship Information:

GreenFields Agro Ltd. is licensed by the UK Home Office to sponsor international workers under:

Seasonal Worker Visa (Temporary – 6 months)
Skilled Worker Visa (Long-Term – 2+ years)
Visa assistance, documentation guidance, and onboarding support will be provided directly by our HR team.

Accommodation & Living Support:

Shared farmhouse units (2–4 workers/room)
Cooking facilities, bedding, heating, and Wi-Fi
Weekly grocery shuttle to local markets
Accommodation Cost: £55/week (deducted from salary)
Free on-site laundry, first aid, and emergency care

Eligibility Requirements:

Age: 18–50 years
Basic English speaking (training provided)
Must be physically fit and mentally prepared for manual work
Valid Passport (minimum 1-year validity)
Willingness to relocate to rural UK
