Dairy Farm Worker in Canada with LMIA Sponsorship
As a Dairy Herdsperson, you will be an essential member of our farm’s operations. You’ll be responsible for the health, welfare, and productivity of our cattle and involved in daily milking, feeding, breeding support, and general herd care.

With a growing demand for our herd and increasing responsibilities on the farm, we’re seeking two passionate and hardworking Dairy Herdspersons who are looking for a long-term opportunity in Canadian agriculture. Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a wide range of day-to-day activities, including but not limited to:
Herd Care
- Monitor and observe health status and behavior of dairy cows
- Assist with veterinary procedures and administer medications
- Assist with calving and care for newborn calves
- Ensure cattle are kept clean, healthy, and comfortable
Milking & Feeding
- Operate and maintain modern milking equipment
- Carry out morning and evening milking procedures
- Prepare and deliver feed according to nutritional plans
- Monitor water and feed intake
Breeding & Reproduction
- Detect heat cycles and maintain accurate breeding records
- Assist with artificial insemination (AI) programs
- Keep data on calving intervals and pregnancy checks
Recordkeeping & Compliance
- Maintain accurate herd health, breeding, and production records
- Comply with Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) standards
- Assist with farm audits and inspections
Farm Maintenance
- Clean barns, stalls, feeding equipment, and milking parlors
- Operate tractors, loaders, and other equipment as needed
- Assist in fencing, fieldwork, or machinery repair when required

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in dairy farming or general livestock care
- Physically fit to handle lifting, bending, and outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Good English communication skills (reading and writing)
- Must be eligible for LMIA-sponsored work permit
Preferred:
- Experience with automated milking systems
- Knowledge of cattle reproduction and AI
- Background in animal science or agriculture
- First aid or farm safety training
Job Conditions
Work Site Environment:
Outdoors, exposed to dust, odors, noise, and changing temperatures.
Non-smoking workplace with safety-first protocols.
Work Setting:
Dairy farm with over 200 head of cattle; rotational milking shifts (2x/day).
Located in the beautiful rural town of Ilderton, just 15 minutes north of London, Ontario.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs. and handle long shifts on your feet.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $19.06 CAD
- Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week (overtime available)
