Job Title: Farm Worker – Field & Greenhouse Operations

Contract Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension or PR pathway

Key Responsibilities
As a Farm Worker, you will work on both outdoor fields and indoor greenhouse operations, depending on the season. Your duties will include:
Field Work
Planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting vegetables such as lettuce, kale, carrots, potatoes, onions, squash, and corn
- Using hand tools like hoes, shovels, and wheelbarrows
- Monitoring and controlling weeds, pests, and diseases
- Working with irrigation systems to maintain proper water levels
- Cleaning, packaging, and preparing produce for sale and distribution
Greenhouse Operations
- Seeding and transplanting seedlings
- Monitoring temperature, moisture, and plant health
- Pruning, tying, and maintaining plants (e.g., tomatoes, cucumbers)
- Harvesting delicate crops and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
General Duties
- Assisting with composting and organic waste management
- Cleaning tools, storage areas, and equipment
- Adhering to all farm safety protocols and guidelines
- Cooperating with supervisors, team leads, and fellow workers
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who:
- Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Can lift up to 25 kg, bend, kneel, and stand for long hours
- Are willing to learn and follow directions
- Have strong team spirit and excellent work ethic
- Can adapt to early morning shifts and flexible hours during harvest
Required Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Age 21 or older
- Basic English communication skills
- At least 6 months of farm, labor, or outdoor work experience
- Valid passport and willingness to relocate to Canada
- Clean background check and medical fitness
Preferred (But Not Mandatory):
- Previous agricultural work or greenhouse experience
- Familiarity with organic farming principles
- Basic understanding of crop cycles or machinery operation
Working Hours
- Monday to Saturday (occasional Sundays during peak harvest)
- Typical hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (may vary based on season/weather)
- Overtime is available and paid according to Canadian labor laws
Salary & Benefits
