Job Overview:
Sun Ming Enterprises Ltd. is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver to join our team in Richmond, BC. As a Warehouse Receiver, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our warehouse by ensuring the accurate receiving, unloading, and organizing of goods. This position is ideal for candidates who are reliable, physically fit, and capable of handling warehouse duties efficiently. We are offering LMIA sponsorship for qualified foreign workers who wish to work in Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying the contents against invoices or packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage, missing items, or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Accurately document and label received goods, ensuring proper storage in designated areas.
- Maintain inventory records and update warehouse management systems to reflect received stock.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics companies regarding delivery schedules and shipment details.
- Keep the receiving area organized and free of hazards, following safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in stock rotation, ensuring that older inventory is used or shipped first.
- Work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accuracy in stock levels.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the warehouse manager or supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience as a warehouse receiver, warehouse worker, or similar role preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Forklift certification is an asset but not mandatory. Training can be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or willing to apply for a work visa under LMIA sponsorship.
