Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ health status, identifying and prioritizing their care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multi-disciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments, following established protocols and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Monitor and evaluate residents’ responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Provide direct nursing care, including wound management, catheterization, and administration of injections.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to coordinate and optimize residents’ care.
• Promote residents’ independence and dignity, respecting their rights and preferences at all times.
• Offer emotional support and guidance to residents and their families, fostering a compassionate and supportive environment.
• Document and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of nursing interventions and residents’ progress.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.
• Stay updated on current best practices, evidence-based nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse qualification, with a valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a care home or healthcare setting.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a genuine commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in demanding situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
• Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays as required.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of advancements in nursing practice.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic computer skills.
