The Role: Electronic Equipment Installation and Repair Supervisor

We’re seeking an experienced Electronic Equipment Installation and Repair Supervisor to lead our technical team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electronics, leadership skills, and a passion for problem-solving. You’ll oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance on installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
• Schedule and assign work orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to enhance team skills.

Installation & Repair

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of electronic equipment, including security systems, communication devices, and industrial machinery.
• Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Quality Assurance

• Inspect completed installations and repairs to ensure functionality and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and equipment logs.
• Address client concerns and provide technical support as needed.

Equipment Maintenance

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and tools, placing orders as necessary.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality components.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety protocols.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability within the team.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years in electronic equipment installation and repair, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electronic systems, including circuit boards, wiring, and control panels.
• Language: Fluency in English (verbal/written).

Personal Suitability:

• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client service abilities.

Desirable Qualifications

• Certification in electronics (e.g., CET, A+).
• Experience with industrial automation systems or IoT devices.
• Knowledge of Canadian electrical codes and safety standards.
