Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Provide accurate and helpful information about products, promotions, and services.
• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring shelves are stocked and products are well presented.
• Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and effective teamwork.
• Contribute to a positive working environment by demonstrating a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock deliveries.
• Actively promote Co-op Group values and initiatives within the community.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a retail environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying stock.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge of Co-op Group’s values and commitment to ethical practices is a plus.
