Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Design, develop, and oversee the installation of mechanical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform detailed calculations, analysis, and simulations to determine optimal mechanical system design and performance.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for mechanical systems and installations.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop mechanical design solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.
• Evaluate and select mechanical equipment and materials based on project needs, technical specifications, and cost considerations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for mechanical projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and mechanical engineering best practices.
• Stay updated on advancements in mechanical engineering technologies, codes, and standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and fostering their professional development.
• Participate in project meetings, presenting technical information, and providing updates on project progress.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, preferably in the construction or engineering consulting industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in using mechanical design software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex mechanical engineering issues.
• Familiarity with relevant mechanical codes and standards (e.g., ASME, BS EN, ISO).
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities, with the capacity to lead and motivate project teams.
• Proven track record in delivering successful mechanical engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Professional membership or chartership with a relevant engineering institution (e.g., IMechE) is advantageous.
• Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
