Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of the store’s equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, such as motors, switches, wiring, and plumbing fixtures.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and installations, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Monitor and maintain the store’s facilities, including lighting, HVAC systems, and plumbing.
Regularly check and maintain fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs performed, and parts used.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
Assist in setting up and dismantling displays or fixtures as required.
Collaborate with the store management team to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
Provide technical guidance and support to store staff regarding equipment usage and maintenance best practices.
Stay updated on technological advancements and industry best practices in maintenance and repair techniques.

Requirements:

Diploma or technical certification in a relevant field, such as Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC.
Proven experience as a Technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and building maintenance.
Familiarity with HVAC systems, refrigeration, and plumbing.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues accurately and efficiently.
Experience in conducting preventive maintenance and creating maintenance schedules.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
