Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Unload, sort, and organize products efficiently, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
- Pick and pack products according to order requirements, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare orders for shipment by packaging items securely and creating shipping labels or documentation.
- Assist with inventory management by conducting regular counts and reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, following safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and keeping work areas tidy.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize workflow, coordinate tasks, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials if required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, reporting any issues, damages, or operational concerns.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects safely (up to 50 pounds or more) for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including receiving, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, with proper certifications or willingness to obtain them.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing, inventory management, and following instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with supervisors and team members effectively.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as required by clients’ needs.
