Responsibilities:

1. Gas Installations and Repairs:

   • Install, repair, and maintain gas appliances and systems in residential properties.
   • Conduct safety checks, inspecting gas installations to ensure compliance with regulations.
   • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults or malfunctions in gas equipment and systems.
   • Perform necessary repairs or replacements to ensure safe and efficient operation.

2. Compliance and Documentation:

   • Ensure compliance with all relevant gas safety regulations and standards.
   • Maintain accurate records of gas installations, repairs, and safety inspections.
   • Complete and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
   • Follow established procedures for testing, commissioning, and certification of gas works.

3. Customer Service:

   • Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
   • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining work carried out and offering guidance.
   • Offer professional advice on gas-related matters and promote energy efficiency.
   • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while working in customers’ homes.

4. Health and Safety:

   • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
   • Identify and assess potential risks and hazards associated with gas work.
   • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools.
   • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly and take necessary action.

5. Continuous Professional Development:

   • Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and best practices.
   • Participate in relevant training and development programs to enhance skills.
   • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to foster a culture of learning.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Gas Safe Registered Engineer with relevant qualifications (ACS or equivalent).
• Previous experience working as a Gas Engineer, preferably in a residential setting.
• In-depth knowledge of gas systems, appliances, and associated regulations.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety procedures related to gas work.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to deliver high-quality service.
• Full UK driving license.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
