Job Summary:
As a Front Office and Guest Services Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s front desk and guest services. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded throughout their stay. You will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm and friendly welcome, handling inquiries, and assisting with any requests or concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently, adhering to established procedures.
- Handle guest inquiries, providing accurate and helpful information about the hotel’s facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with luggage and escort them to their rooms when required.
- Ensure all guest requests and concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently, escalating issues to the appropriate departments if necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, ensuring that all relevant information is properly documented.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely, following established procedures.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, ensuring a welcoming and professional appearance at all times.
- Stay updated on hotel promotions, events, and special offers to effectively communicate them to guests.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a front office or guest services role within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong customer service orientation, with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
- Proficient in using computer systems and hotel management software.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
