Job Description:

Déménagement Martin, a reputable moving company based in Quebec, Canada, is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Moving Truck Driver. As a Moving Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting customers’ belongings to their designated destinations. This is a full-time position based in Quebec, Canada.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate a moving truck to transport customers’ belongings to their new locations.
2. Plan and organize the loading and unloading of customers’ items, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
3. Drive the moving truck along assigned routes, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
4. Assist with the packing and unpacking of customers’ items, as needed.
5. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the moving truck, checking for any mechanical issues or safety concerns, and report any problems to the appropriate supervisor.
6. Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any concerns or special instructions.
7. Maintain accurate records of inventory, including packing lists and delivery receipts, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed promptly.
8. Collaborate with the moving crew to ensure efficient and timely completion of moves.
9. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

1. Valid driver’s license (Class A or Class B) with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a truck driver, specifically in the moving industry, is preferred.
3. Excellent knowledge of Quebec’s roadways and routes.
4. Ability to safely operate and maneuver a moving truck of various sizes.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely and efficient moves.
6. Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry heavy items as required.
7. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
9. Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, as required during peak moving seasons.
