Job Description:

The Inn at Bay Fortune, located in Canada, is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating and serving a wide range of beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere in our bar.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Engage with guests, offer recommendations, and provide exceptional customer service.
3. Create and craft innovative and high-quality cocktails, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
4. Maintain a well-stocked bar by monitoring inventory levels and restocking as necessary.
5. Take orders from guests seated at the bar or in the lounge area and process payments accurately.
6. Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and adheres to health and safety standards.
7. Collaborate with other staff members, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
8. Stay updated on current beverage trends, new products, and industry best practices.
9. Provide assistance and support during special events and functions held at the establishment.
10. Handle any guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
3. Excellent mixology skills with the ability to create unique and well-balanced drink recipes.
4. Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and engaging personality.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
7. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to the serving of alcohol.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
9. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., Smart Serve) is an asset.
