Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our organization as a Care Team Leader. As a Care Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and support provided to our clients, ensuring that high-quality care is delivered in accordance with established standards and regulations. You will lead a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure the delivery of person-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of care staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Allocate and coordinate care tasks, ensuring that each client’s individual needs and preferences are met.
- Provide guidance, support, and supervision to care staff, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Monitor the delivery of care and support, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of clients’ care plans, making adjustments as necessary in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and other external parties to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records related to clients’ care, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
- Monitor and manage resources, including equipment, supplies, and staffing levels, to optimize service delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate measures.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and promoting continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare or social care sector.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships.
- Sound knowledge of care principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to assess and respond to the changing needs of clients and manage priorities accordingly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using relevant computer software and systems for documentation and record-keeping.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients and their families.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or higher, would be advantageous.
