Ethero is a leading recruitment agency specializing in providing staffing solutions to various industries. We are currently seeking Warehouse Workers to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our clients’ warehouses by performing various tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods or deliveries.
- Verify the accuracy of shipment contents and ensure they match the accompanying documentation.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or designated areas according to organizational standards.
- Label, tag, and properly store goods in appropriate locations.
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Perform regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring they are properly labeled and documented.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks or containers as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, including sweeping, organizing, and disposing of waste.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to meet quality and productivity standards.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines, including attendance and punctuality requirements.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is desirable.
- Basic computer skills to update inventory records or use warehouse management systems.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a well-organized warehouse.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
