Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at PizzaExpress Restaurants Ltd in the UK. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in the overall management and operations of our restaurant. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high operational standards, and driving team performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and overall customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Maintain high-quality food and beverage standards, monitor consistency, and implement improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage inventory levels, control costs, and ensure timely food ordering.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Support the General Manager in recruiting, training, and developing a highly skilled and motivated team.
- Assist in scheduling and managing staffing levels to meet operational needs while controlling labor costs.

- Assist in managing financial aspects of the restaurant, including monitoring sales, labor costs, and expenses.
- Contribute to achieving financial targets and controlling costs while maximizing revenue.
- Support the General Manager in analyzing financial reports, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to drive profitability.

Administrative Duties:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as payroll, scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, health and safety regulations, and customer service standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching and developing team members.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
- Solid financial acumen, including experience with managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving revenue.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and customers.
