Job Description

People Tree Recruitment LTD is seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Charity Fundraisers. As a Charity Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in raising funds and awareness for our partner charities. You will engage with members of the public, inspiring them to support our causes through various fundraising initiatives. Responsibilities:

1. Engage with the public, representing our partner charities and sharing their mission and work.
2. Actively approach potential donors, whether in public spaces, door-to-door campaigns, or at organized events.
3. Inspire and educate individuals about the importance of the charities’ work and the impact of their donations.
4. Communicate effectively, using persuasive techniques to encourage individuals to make regular or one-time donations.
5. Answer questions and provide accurate information about the charities’ programs, campaigns, and achievements.
6. Maintain a positive and professional image of the charities and People Tree Recruitment LTD at all times.
7. Handle cash donations securely and complete appropriate paperwork and documentation.
8. Utilize technology, such as tablets or mobile devices, to record donations and maintain accurate records.
9. Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop new strategies and initiatives to increase donations and donor engagement.
10. Attend training sessions and keep up-to-date with the charities’ latest campaigns and initiatives.

Requirements:

1. Strong passion for charitable causes and the desire to make a positive impact in the community.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others.
3. Confidence in approaching and speaking to members of the public, including in public spaces and door-to-door settings.
4. Persuasive and influential skills, with the ability to convey the importance and urgency of supporting the charities.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to different environments and campaigns.
6. Resilience and perseverance in the face of rejection or challenging situations.
7. Reliable and trustworthy, maintaining the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
8. Basic computer skills and familiarity with technology for recording donations and maintaining records.
9. Previous experience in fundraising, sales, customer service, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
10. Right to work in the United Kingdom.
