Job Summary:

SUPERMARCHE BOUCHER INC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Grocery Clerk Supervisor to join our team. As a Grocery Clerk Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring efficient and accurate completion of tasks by the grocery clerks. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of grocery operations will contribute to the overall success of our supermarket.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide guidance to grocery clerks, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to grocery clerks, ensuring proper coverage and efficient completion of work.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring appropriate stock of products on shelves and in storage areas.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying the quality and quantity of products received.
• Ensure products are properly priced and labeled, following company pricing guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grocery department, including shelves, displays, and storage areas.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide information on product availability, pricing, and promotions.
• Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement strategies to optimize department performance.
• Train and mentor new grocery clerks, providing guidance on product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to grocery clerks, identifying areas for improvement.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and market competition.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a grocery store or supermarket environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of grocery operations, including inventory management, pricing, and product placement.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
