Job Summary:
NHS Jobs is currently seeking dedicated and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Hotel Services Assistants. As a Hotel Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff within NHS facilities. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional hospitality services.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in patient rooms, public areas, and staff areas.
- Clean and sanitize designated areas, including floors, surfaces, fixtures, and equipment.
- Make beds and change bed linens in patient rooms.
- Collect and dispose of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Restock supplies, such as toiletries and towels, in patient rooms and public areas.
- Assist with the delivery of meals and beverages to patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dietary requirements.
- Handle and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues or needs for replacement.
- Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare setting.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and events.
- Respond to patient and visitor requests or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet cleaning schedules.
- Good verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment or supplies.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
